Mr. M.R. Warerkar, our esteemed founder and past chairman, embarked on his architectural
journey in June 1963, establishing M.R. Warerkar & Associates. Prior to this, he
contributed significantly to the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of
Health, and Government of India, where he played a pivotal role in the expansion and
modernisation of Safdarjung Hospital and the construction of All India Institute of
Medical Sciences. His commitment to excellence was further honed during his tenure at
the office of Prof. E. Beaudouin in Paris, supported by a French Government Scholarship.
Joining hands with Mr. Warerkar, Mr. S. B. Shah brought a wealth of experience from
major government projects, especially in the field of roadway. A graduate of the College
of Engineering, Pune, Mr. S. B. Shah's journey with Public Work, Maharashtra, eventually
led him to Delhi in
1965. By 1967, he became a partner at M.R. Warerkar & Associates, pioneering project
management well ahead of its time. Together, their combined expertise laid the
foundation for a legacy marked by professionalism.
